We would like to bring attention to an upcoming event taking place October 21 through 24 that is near and dear to our hearts. Spending Time Ending Rett is a weekend long fundraiser that benefits the International Rett Sydrome Foundation (IRSF), a non-profit organization with the mission of funding research and finding a cure for Rett syndrome. The fundraiser, hosted by Kevin Black, has something for everyone: a strollathon, concert featuring Clint Black, young singer songwriter showcase, golf tournament, and fishing tournament. Heights Live! is a proud sponsor of the Spending Time Ending Rett Singer-Songwriter showcase.

Heights Live! alum Matt Harlan, Brian Hudson, and Brad Boyer are among the 13 performers that will be showcased at the event on Sunday October 23rd. We hope that you will come out for this great cause. Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder that occurs in about 1 out of 20,000 babies, generally girls. These babies develop normally until about age 18 months, then their developmental progression starts to reverse and they eventually lose communication skills and purposeful use of her hands. The disorder is often complicated by seizures and disorganized breathing patterns.
